We had a presto griddle for many years and when it came time for replacing it there was no doubt that we would seek to find the same product. The design is a little different, a slightly smaller overall cooking area but the new design shape is convenient. I use it on top of my glass top stove. The new design for the tilt and drain feature is actually better than the original and easier to clean. also the drip tray is larger. You can cook an entire one pound package of bacon at once cutting cooking time especially when cooking for a crowd. A great product so far and it lives up to its predecessor's past performance I'm sure we will be enjoying many big breakfasts in the coming years.

Nice griddle with good features but the element is u shaped and does not heat the griddle evenly. It gets hot right over the element and gets cooler as you move away from it. Thus my pancakes or french toast will have a dark stripe where they sit over the element and be under cooked elsewhere.

When my previous griddle died, I tried using my husbands pannini press with reversible plates but it just wasn't big enough and the drip pan was way to small. I love the size of the cooking surface. I love the tilt & drain feature. The only small drawback - eventually - is that the drip pan is not made of heavy enough plastic. After the first use, I can see that it will eventually get a hole in it where the grease drips in. This is a small problem compared to everything else. Other than that, I love it.
