Rated 2 out of 5Â by Clara15 After a year of use it has issues
I purchased this kettle about a year ago. For the first couple of months it worked great. However, after a few months I noticed that the water stopped getting heated when it was turned on. It was intermittent, and I could live with it. Now, there are times when the kettle won't turn on at all, and won't heat the water at all. I am going to have to replace it. I had my last cordless electric kettle for over a decade (and it received daily use), and I didn't have this issue, so I'm very disappointed that this kettle didn't even last a full year.
It does look great though.

Element is not exposed, you can get your hand inside to wipe it out or clean. All stainless except for handle. The display to show how much water is inside is not that easy to see, but it's acceptable, and you can tell by weight how much water is inside. When you've emptied it, I suggest placing a paper towel loosely inside, and hanging out the top (with top open), to wick out all the moisture. It really helps to get all the water out of the inside. If you don't do this, you will find there is often water still inside, even after a few days of drying with the top open. This kettle is a good size overall, and has an auto-off switch lit by a blue LED light.

I really like the style of this kettle. I originally was looking for a plastic one that had a see through water line so can see how far to fill it up but I couldn't find one in plastic only glass and they where way too expensive! I like all the features on this product and especially that it boils the water so fast. My 19 yr old son is now making lots of teas and my husband uses it for his instant oatmeal in the mornings no more microwave and hot bowls and mugs that are too hot to handle!! I gave it 4 stars because it is loud.

If you hate waiting "endlessly" for your tea, and you want a kettle that you can leave out on the counter because it looks so good, this is your electric tea kettle! Fast (even when filled), sturdy, and durable (At least it LOOKS and FEELS durable. Only have had it here for two weeks so who knows?) The one thing that could have been designed better is the large appendage near the bottom that is the ON switch, and lights up bright cobalt blue when the kettle is on. It's like a big blue thumb. Easy to see, but it's plastic and I wonder if it might be subject to breaking if it's "man-handled." A little pricey, but I expect it to last for many years....if it's "thumb" doesn't break.
