I've only used it a couple of times and it works fine but I do wonder how long it is going to hold up. It is made of very cheap plastic, including the base/foil cutter. The plug comes loose easily and as other have said, the charging plug goes directly into the opener and not the base so you have to unplug it to use it.

Received this a s a Christmas gift and by January it was broken. A cork went into it and there is no way to get it out, go for the more expensive model and save your money on this.

We have used another brand electric wine opener for a couple years and it has worked fine. We decided to purchase another for a different room downstairs, so I purchased this Food Network product. I like this one better because it has clear viewing where the cork ends up. On our old one we never were quite sure where the cork was in the process.

I purchased this wine opener to replace one that had just worn out. I like that the blue color lights up when it is charging and it did open the wine bottles easily. I had to return the first one because the little charging plug would not stay tight and the light indicating charging kept going out. The exchange one seems to be fine. I rated this model down a bit because the plug goes into the opener itself, so you have to plug and unplug it every time you use it. The style of my old one had the plug in the base and you just removed the opener and never had to fool with the plug. I hope that Food Network can improve on this feature.
