I was looking for a good rice cooker, & ended up with not only a great rice cooker, but a great steamer, & the greatest crock pot I've ever owned... ALL in one machine! Seriously, the nonstick container makes cleaning so easy, especially compared to the heavy ceramic crockpot dishes that I used to scrub forever to get clean. The programming is so easy, just touch a button & walk away. Rice comes out perfect, we've streamed veggies that come out better than restaurant veggies, & I love that it can cook a roast faster than a normal crockpot does. I'm going to get rid of my other crockpot & steamer & use just this. Great space ever too!
Rated 5 out of 5Â by sajijoma just received this baby today and I LOVE it!
I know not everyone gets giddy over a rice maker, but when you have a large family and have spent the last 3 years using a 3 cup maker and making 3 or more batches for a dinner, you can see why I'm giddy! First thing I did when I pulled it out of the box was wash it, and start 10 cups of rice. It came out BEAUTIFULLY! Not soggy, no burnt crusty bottom like I had come to accept yet loathe with my old maker. This baby makes such fluffy nicely cooked rice, I cooked a second batch for fun and plan of using it for fried rice tomorrow night! If you are like me and search reviews for THE ONE to get, this is it! Buy it! You'll love it!!
Rated 4 out of 5Â by CSilvar Great product!
My boyfriend and I just used this for the first time on Valentine's Day. Fresh out of the box, this product came with minimal instructions. It only had a tiny piece of paper for "quick start" with three easy steps. It certainly was simple enough and the rice came out great--but the only reason I gave it 4 stars was because it doesn't tell you how long it will take for the rice to cook. After a few more uses I'm sure I can figure out how long it is, but it would be nice to have a timer counting down until it's ready. Other than that, I am very happy with my purchase. I'm looking forward to trying the other slow-cooker feature.

First attempt at cooking rice (Thai jasmine) did not turn out well but 2nd attempt with basmati was excellent. I would have liked more control over the timer since it only lists white rice or brown rice and does not otherwise differentiate between varieties. If the rice is already overcooked and waterlogged, as my jasmine rice was, no amount of subsequent stirring and cooking on a low heat can save it. That said, the basmati rice stayed in perfect condition throughout a dinner party and I am pleased with the cooker overall.
