These modular units go together easily, but are not easy to move as a unit since they are literally held together with stickum (dual sided tape, but think chewing gum!). They look good and are functional when filled with books, and are much sturdier, but you need to keep them up against a wall if you don't want the backing to fall off (tape is not very reliable). When I need to move these, I will probably nail a few brads into them to keep them together. Otherwise, they are a good value. I actually need filing storage and found some stackable file bins that are comparably priced elsewhere; if you need a filing solution, I would go with those, instead. But as a bookcase, these are adequate.

I bought this for my child's room as a bookshelf/night stand, but the quality is not very good and the shelfs are not very sturdy. There are no tools, screws, or nails needed to put this together. It only uses cardboard pegs and double sided tape. I was very disappointed for the cost.
