I already know the mug is chip resistant (had a few bumps that didn't cause damage) and that construction is likely why the mug is a little heavy. Not a good choice for those with arthritis.
That aside, it's nice and large and perfect for a healthy portion of chowder or a breakfast sized hot mocha. I love the color (red) and the large handle that allows for more than one finger to hold/balance the mug and prevents burning.
I expect it to last a long time. I've already had people comment on them.

The Jumbo Cup is the same shape and generous size as the Jumbo Bowl, but has the addition of a sturdy handle for sipping and tipping. From hot beverages to cereal, soup, or stew, the Jumbo Cup is limited only by your imagination. My favorite is for making oatmeal in the microwave, since there is plenty of room to prevent boil overs, and the material (vitreous china) holds heat exceptionally well.

Our son took a couple of these with him to school to use in his dorm room. He says they are perfect for a big cup of coffee when studying or a bowl of soup or cereal when hungry. Being a resourceful lad he has probably also figured out that if he puts one in the fridge for a while it will heep a beer cold.
