I am writing this review after using the Mr. Cofee Advanced brew 5 cup programmable coffee maker in black for the past two weeks. I am not going give away any clues as to how it operates. It should be a right of passage to experience what we have since opening the box and installing the coffee maker. Overall it has really nice functions and operates as better then expected. The coffee is hot and kept warm with an auto shut off. That's all I am giving away. I am very impressed overall and give it 4 stars. We converted from a keurig and couldn't be happier.

This coffee maker is good if you are only making coffee for 1 person. It fills about 2 standard mugs of coffee. 5 cups does not mean 5 mugs. The quality of the coffee maker is good, but I would not recommend if you are looking to make more people coffee than yourself.

I like my new coffee pot but I feel the design missed the mark. When you pour the coffee into a cup it dribbles all over the sink. I've had other Mr. Coffee pots before and this is a new flaw. Irritating but not bad enough to return.

The increase from 4 to 5 cups is perfect, as it now fills two travel-mugs completely. The spout is a bit drippy if you pour too quickly unless you raise the decanter's lid. Wish it still had the LED display instead of the LCD display so I can see it at night. Probably needed to switch to LCD become EnergyStar compliant. The timer indicator should at least be more visible. The water level-indicator for the reservoir is set-up for a lefty; using your right hand to fill it blocks your view of the tube. Not crazy about the shiny chrome faceplate; not into the 50's Buick look.
