Rated 3 out of 5Â by prdmshrl Not good for Espressos
Does not grind fine enough to be used for espressos. Nevertheless, the overall construction is good and if you are looking for a burr for regular coffee machines this one should work. Therefore, I recommend this product for those users that are looking to grind coffee for drip machines and/or french press.

We enjoyed this coffee grinder for just over a hear. It's noisy, so we usually ground the coffee the night before to avoid waking late sleepers in the morning. It worked fine until this morning when I refilled the hopper and hit the start switch. It started but nothing came out. Smoke came out of the bottom, and I unplugged it. Not sure what happened, but the upshot is that I have to buy another grinder. I hesitate to be too negative about this unit, because it worked so well until today. I'm not sure what went wrong. I kept it clean and did not mistreat it. Might be that mine was flawed. I just wish the flaw had become evident before the warranty expired.

Having used only rotary blade bean grinders in the past, I was more than ready to upgrade to a burr grinder. The only thing holding me back was the cost. Burr grinders can be expensive. When I saw this product on the shelf at Kohl's, I gave it a good once over -- could a burr grinder in this price range stand up to daily use? It appeared to be sturdy, easy to clean and easy to use. Now that I have it in my home, I have found that it is, indeed, the product I hoped it to be. The two features I most appreciate: I can choose the size of the grind from 18 different settings, and I can select how much coffee to grind by the number of cups I will be brewing. I am glad that I purchased this product.

We had one of these before and it lasted 4 years for us. We went to pick up another, in store, but none were available. Ordered by phone. Arrived in 3 days. We wanted another one just like this, because we can grind more, at a time, but especially because of grind selection feature. There are several, from extra fine to extra course. My husband needs coarse for his French press. I prefer fine 3, for the Bunn. Very happy with it.
