Some shelves are rough in places where it wasn't painted all the way. Some shelves are chipped and the areas where the hardware is have cracks. Entire bookshelf is somewhat unstable. Very poor quality. If it wasn't such a pain the take all apart I would return it. I will have to patch the chipped areas and repaint the entire shelf. Hopefully it will look better. I guess it can't look any worse.

I needed a shelving unit to store cookbooks and other things in the kitchen. This bookshelf turned out to be a great option. The differing widths of the shelves were a helpful feature for stashing everything from a serving tray to full size cookbooks to the coupon box to the clock radio. With the open back for the unit, there's no problem with the electrical cord running in some odd place. The whole piece went together very easily with two people working on it. All the pieces were intact and the hardware was exceptionally well organized -- no hunting for a certain part.
