I haven't used this type of product in many years but decided to give it a try because we have new wood floors and a Teflon broom and dustpan have gotten old fast. This product has made it so easy to quickly clean up corners first, then vacuum up small piles of hair and debris with its hair attracting rubberized edges before I use my wood cleaning product on the floor - I love it! Once the construction on my family room is finished, I plan to check it out on the furniture where the pet hair gathers and the stereo doors with the cotton mesh screen that my Sheltie loves to rub up against - that will be a true test.

I've really put this product to the test, while I am transitioning to a new vacuum. My current vacuum is abysmal at the major task it needs to accomplish: ridding my carpet of all of the cat hair that it is daily showered with. So, I was looking for a cost-efficient hand-held device to pick up the slack, while I save up for a super effective and pricey vacuum that targets pet hair. I have to say this Bissell hand vacuum is heads and tails above my current standing vacuum at getting the job done. The method of lifting up the pet hair from the carpet is a bit like combing the carpet, and it is sometimes necessary to clean out the "comb" part of the device, but it's not too much of a hassle.

I bought this a few weeks ago mainly for my car. It has fairly good suction (not as strong as commercial Car-vacs but I hate pouring quarters into those machines.) but the filter needs to be cleaned often. The pink rubber nose left marks on my upholstery and the "crevice" tool took a while for me to find. You pull it out from inside the rubber nose but there is nothing to hold it out so as you vacuum it slowly recedes. Very annoying. And it's not very small so doesn;t fit into too many crevices. I think this is a good product but I wouldn't buy it for your car.

Saw this in the store and got home charged it FULLY. Put it on today and not only do the rubber nods rub against the carpet and you feel like you are pushing a 50 pound vacuum but it doesn't pick up hair or any small particles.... i attempted to do 5 steps and the power slowed down...and then....died...... oh yeah, i also tried by pulling out the attachment that's attached permanently to the mouth and you have to try hard to pull it out and extend it... that didn't make the vacuum's suction any better. I am so annoyed that i have to go back to return it.
