I purchased this in the hopes of getting some dirt out if the grout in our bathroom tile. We purchased our home a year ago and the bathroom leaves much to be desired. I considered having a professional steamer come out but thought I would give this a try first. I used two of the cups full of water and got enough steam to clean our bathroom. It heated quickly, was really easy to use (and assemble), it got a lot of the dirt out to the point our tiles and grout look much better and best of all no chemicals. I used it to clean the toilet and the sink as well. I never leave reviews but this was worth my time to write.

When I received this steam cleaner, I was thrilled. My floors are 90% tile and I find that steam is the best way to clean. I used it according to directions, ie using distilled water, etc. The first thing that occurred is the protective hose detached from the handle. Now, my unit has completely stopped working. Tried cleaning it with vinegar and water according to manufacturer's instructions, nothing. I am so disappointed, I loved this machine. It seems that this is a common problem with steam cleaners, that they just quit working after a short period of time. Nothing is made to last anymore. And KOHL"S, why do you request my body time, height and weight when publishing a review??? Totally irrelevant.

It seems to look a little cheapish to me. I don't think it has as much power as one that I had a few years ago that was from a different company. But it has worked fine for me so far.

It works well enough, but not quite as powerful as I would like. Feels very "plasticy". No way to wrap the cord. But it does hold a lot of steam, best to use it in short bursts. Use distilled water, because like a coffee maker and iron it will build up hard water deposits and stop working. Best for occasional light to medium use. Don't expect magic using steam only, to get tough grease, mold, and dirt build up the steam is good at loosening up the dirt, but won't blast it away. For that you need a much more powerful steamer.
