This fan was really expensive for how loud it is and how little air it puts out in return for the noise. Fail.

We use this tower fan in the bedroom and it moves the air nicely without blowing directly on the bed. The downside is that the lights are sooooo bright that it lights up the room. I now have a piece of duct tape attached to the fan so after I turn it on I can cover the lights. They still show through. I am not sure why they have to be so bright. They would be just as visible without being so bright. The only other complaint I have that when I have purchased other fans, humidifiers, etc. the packaging is much more friendly to the environment that I am not sure why all companies are not using better packaging.

this is loud, a little rickety and NOT powerful and does do what the product description implies. It didn't circulate air in the room very well at all and we tried to use it in our daughter's small bedroom, which should have been ideal for it. Its also pretty loud, even at the lowest setting, so while good for unintended white noise, it was not a quiet efficient fan, and for the cost we were really disappointed. we used it all summer because it was too big a pain to send back but I really do not recommend this fan. We also got the black 723, floor fan, which is much much better, and I do recommend. But don't get this one. The parts are also not the tightest fit so it gives a sort of plastic rattle while on. not high quality I expected from vornado.

I bought this fan because as each of my children has left home my tower fans or tall oxcillating fans have disappeared. This fan fits nicely in a corner and gives lots of air movement, on low is very quiet, on high it does create white noise. Also no place for little fingers to get cut or pinched.
