Rated 5 out of 5Â by Kellie Great everyday dinnerware
My husband and I have had 8 place settings of the Noritake Colorwave Raspberry Rim dinnerware for almost 2 years now and we love it! It is a stylish but not flashy pattern and the color is wonderful. We don't have a dishwasher so I don't have any experience with that, but all of the pieces wash great by hand and we've used them in the microwave without any problems. I've noticed a few scratches on the insides of some of the bowls - probably from forks - but nothing too noticeable unless you really look for it. Overall, great dinnerware pattern with commendable durability and timeless style.

This dinnerware looks great when it is new and sets a really pretty casual table. Works with so many colors and at all seasons. I have several concerns:
1. It definitely marks, and the marks are not easy to remove.
2. It is very heavy
3. The pepper shaker is not available except in the set. Thrice, the pepper
shaker has hit the granite countertop and smashed - had to buy set - now
have three salt shakers and am not going to spend the money for another
When I replace this (12 place setting) dinnerware set, it will probably be with a casual bone china pattern that can take everyday use.

We have had our set for about 5 years now. I love the color and after reading the reviews I now know how to get the silverware marks off. My only complaint is the serving pieces are so large. The round platter wouldn't fit on our shelves and the 16 in is huge. A 11 inch platter would be great. I did get some pieces from another company to use for serving bowls and the sugar/creamer. I just didn't like the design and expense of the sugar/creamer. I use it everyday and have used it for Thanksgiving and some birthdays with a special table cloth that has a border that matches the china.

I received this pattern for my wedding. Instead of registering for both formal and casual plates, we registered for this color and the graphite color as well so we make a custom place setting by mixing the colors. I love the way it turned out. I paired the red and black with a silver napping and placemat and a very elegant but simple flatware design. It looks fantastic. We figured we'd hardly use formal dining plates so instead we went this options to register for more causal pieces so we could mix it up. It turned out great and red goes with everything so I never have to worry about my pattern doing out of style.
