We have a Golden (110 lbs) and he sheds heavily. The sound of the vac scared the life out of the guy but with one person pacifying him and the other gently working the groom tool, this is a workable option. I am not so sure if my furminator blades do anything less than this tool. That is why, the value for money is not much. the fact that it sucks up all the hair while it grooms, is brilliant. so much less of clean up..If you can pacify your dog for the first 4-5 uses then it may become easier to use without scaring the pup.
overall, worth a shot.

I have a Welsh Corgi with a nice undercoat. She becomes a fur factory at a few times a year. I have used this tool and am amazed at how much fur comes out--far more than if I were brushing her. And it is much less messy since the fur is sucked into the vacuum. It's so much easier to groom her now. She has gotten used to the vacuum cleaner noise and seems to enjoy this brush. It has saved me money because now I don't take her for grooming. I heartily recommend this.

This is a great grooming tool to remove hair before it gets on your floor and furniture. I attach it to my canister vaccum and my lab lets me vaccum away and it removes the loose hair and then I empty the hair from the vaccum. I did not know if it would be worth the price; but, after using it, I definitely think that it is. I would recommend it.

I had seen this tool online & was skeptical if it really would do the job but decided to try it out. This is an amazing attachment for anyone who has heavy shedding dogs, as a "Mom" to 2 Golden Retrievers there is never a time they are not in need of grooming. They were not the least bit scared of the noise of the vacuum, one them is even thunder/noise phobic but he did not mind at all. The bristles are exactly like a slicker brush but of course the best part is the suction, fill that brush up & relase the button, the hair is gone! I was able to groom both dogs in 15 minutes, and the hair was not all over me. This will be a wonderful help come spring when they begin to "blow" their coats, a must have for dog lovers. One tip, turn on the vacuum first, let your dogs sniff it and become acclimated to the noise before you begin using the tool.
