This is a great idea for a bath toy, but I'm not sure that it works as well as it was intended to. The idea is that you can run the toys (which are three separate pieces) under the faucet or fill them up in the tub with water, and then turn them upside down and the water will run out and the parts will spin. This does happen for the most part, but sometimes the little parts won't spin and you have to either keep the faucet running or keep dunking them under the water. These really don't hold my daughter's attention very well. I'm also concerned with the water getting inside and having no way to clean them out that mold/mildew might start to build up inside.

My girls liked these bath toys when they arrived and were very excited to use them! (ages 4 & 2.5). We also took these to a splash pad with friends and they seemed to be a hit. They worked best as individual pieces though, as neither the pink or yellow piece seemed to fit well as the bottom piece. They both kept falling out. Sadly, we lost the pink and yellow pieces at that splash pad and they aren't really missed. They were fun while they lasted but not something my girls at this age were overly enthusiastic about.

I received the Waterway bath toy as a gift. Our little one played with it once and hasn't really picked it back up. The pieces don't stay together that well. I have to hold the toy with the penguin cup up so that he can pour the water in. The water doesn't go into each part quick enough to really get the things spinning and the water doesn't drain easily. I gave it 3 stars because it's a cool idea and it may interest another child more than mine.

This toy is fun, but to use it as intended, it would work better for older kids because you have to twist the toys to get them attached to one another. That being said, both of my children (ages 3.5 years and 9 months) enjoy this bath toy! My older daughter in particular finds it fascinating to watch the water make all of these toys work. It is definitely more fun than your average bath toy!
