I bought 2 sets of blocks, and my son folded and put them together for my granddaughter, age 2. It is hard to find things to keep children entertained inside during the wet winter months, but blocks are awsome! One set is not enough to build a really nice fort, so get two or more sets. After blocks are folded, they take up a floor space approx. 12 inches by 18 inches, as high as you can stack them. They are extremely strong-kids can stand on them. If they fall over, they are light enough not to cause any owies or damage. Excellent value!!!! Will buy more!!

I bought 2 sets of these blocks last year for 4 yr old twins and their 3 and 2 yr old brothers. I was torn about getting these but thought the different colors and sizes would be nice to have. I would never buy them again. They didn't hold up at all. I have thrown so many of these away already as they have been ripped and crushed from getting stepped on. The variation the yellow gives in terms of color isn't worth the expense seeing how small the blocks are. If I had a "do-over", I would buy a different brand of only red blocks. I have used them before and they are so much stronger, hold up much better, and are more fun because you can build a wall that will stay up.

Taught preschool for 17 years; now that I have grandchildren, I've given them these blocks and they have been as big a hit as with all the preschoolers I taught over those 17 years. And from a teacher/parent perspective, love them because: if they're thrown, they aren't as harmful as wooden blocks, they don't hurt if you get hit with one or if they fall over on you, they are strong enough so that even 5 yr olds standing on them don't crush them. They are durable and long-lasting; may get a little worn-looking and the printing on them faded or scratched but the integrity lasts for many years - even with the longest blocks! One set is great but two sets are even better!!

Bought these as a gift for our local hospital's family play room. Our church nursery had a set of these and they seemed to be the thing most played with. Our boys tried them out while I was assembling them and were building forts, towers, etc. They seem to be very sturdy and can even be stood on without any problem. The only downside I could see is that kids might be tempted to throw them. They are light enough though that they won't cause any permanent damage. Plan to order some of these for ourselves!
